Celebrate Mother’s Day with a meaningful community event designed for participants of all ages and abilities.

Choose from a 5K or 10K run/walk route, and help raise funds for the North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre as we continue to support women and families facing unexpected pregnancy and pregnancy loss.

  •  Everyone! The event is open to individuals and families of all fitness levels.

  • No, this is a fun, community-focused event. We’ll do our best to record everyone’s times, but we weren’t able to secure chip timing this year.

  • Your support will directly benefit the North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre, which provides compassionate care, resources, and support for individuals and families facing an unexpected pregnancy or parenting challenges.


    Funds raised help cover program costs, essential supplies, and a variety of supportive services and activities provided by the Centre.

  • The Mother’s Day Run & Walk in Fort St. John is a community-driven event that raises funds for the North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre. The centre provides a safe, confidential space for women, men, and families facing an unexpected pregnancy, pregnancy loss, along with a free baby boutique offering essential items. 

    Participants can choose from a 1 km Kids Dash, a 5K route in Fort St. John, or a 10K race in British Columbia—walking, jogging, or running in support of this important cause.

  • Since its inception in 2011, the Rotary Club of Fort St. John, alongside the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society, has organized this event. In 2026, the Women’s Resource Society passed the management of this community run to the North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre, entrusting us with its continued success.

    While Rotary is no longer organizing the run, it remains the same cherished community tradition. We are honoured to carry it forward, bringing people together, promoting hope and a safe, caring place for women, men and families in our community.

  •  The event takes place on Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at the Kin Park Pavilion in Fort St. John, BC. The exact time and event schedule will be shared closer to race day.

  • The 10K and 5K routes are part of a fun, non-chip-timed event, making them accessible for all participants while still allowing you to challenge yourself. We will do our best to record times, though official chip timing will not be available.

    We’re also excited to offer a 1 km Kids Dash, perfect for younger participants to join in the fun. No matter your experience level, this community charity run in Fort St. John welcomes everyone!

  • Registration fees vary depending on the race category. This is one of the most affordable charity runs in Canada, ensuring that everyone in the community can participate while contributing to an important cause. 

  • No, registration fees are non-refundable. As this is a nonprofit fundraising race, all proceeds go directly to The North Peace Pregnancy Care Center to help women facing unexpected pregnancies. This policy applies even if the event is postponed or cancelled.

  • You can walk, run, or wheel! This is a family community event that welcomes all ages and abilities. It’s a great way to stay active while supporting a worthy cause.

  • Yes! This is one of the best kids-friendly charity races in BC. We encourage families to join together and make it a special Mother’s Day walk in Canada.

    There will also be a 1k kids dash, with registration available day of on May 9th, 2026. 

  • Absolutely! Our goal is to make this event welcoming and accessible to everyone, including parents with strollers and participants using mobility aids.

  • The event will take place on paved, flat paths. It’s a great course whether you’re training for a 5K or 10K run or just looking to enjoy a leisurely walk.

  • Both the 10K and 5K run/walk in Fort St. John are fun, non-chip-timed runs, making them perfect for participants of all levels to enjoy at their own pace. We’ll do our best to record everyone’s times. 

    We’re also excited to offer a 1 km Kids Dash for younger participants.

  • This is a charity walk/run for women, men and families. 100% of proceeds support will directly benefit the North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre, which provides compassionate care, resources, and support for individuals and families facing an unexpected pregnancy and/or parenting challenges.


    Funds raised help cover program costs, essential supplies, and a variety of supportive services and activities provided by the Centre.

  • Yes! If you can’t attend but still want to contribute, you can donate through this link. Every contribution helps provide help for those facing unexpected pregnancy and pregnancy loss.

  • Yes! We are always looking for community members to volunteer at a charity run/walk and help with race logistics, water stations, and event setup. If you’re looking for volunteer opportunities in Fort St. John, this is a great way to give back! Click here to register as a volunteer.

  • Yes, there is free parking on-site.

  • We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the race start time to check in and warm up.

  • When you are registering and get to the checkout page, click on the manual pay option and send the e-transfer to us at info@nppcare.ca and enter the total amount. To complete the payment, click place order & pay.
